ScotRail services - Boxing Day 2023

ScotRail has started to expand the services that they operate on Boxing Day 2023.

Historically, it was just the old SPT area that had services on this date. In 2022, ScotRail expanded this offering to cover the main Edinburgh to Glasgow route, then this year, expanded it further to include:

  • Glasgow Central – Ayr
  • Glasgow Central – Ardrossan Harbour
  • Glasgow Central – Largs
  • Glasgow Central – Gourock
  • Glasgow Central – Wemyss Bay
  • Glasgow Central – Paisley Canal
  • Glasgow Central – Neilston
  • Glasgow Central – Newton
  • Glasgow Central – Glasgow Central via Cathcart Circle
  • Glasgow Central – East Kilbride
  • Glasgow Central – Barrhead
  • Glasgow Central – Girvan
  • Glasgow Central – Kilmarnock
  • Glasgow Central – Edinburgh via Shotts
  • Glasgow Central – Lanark
  • Balloch – Airdrie via Singer (becomes Balloch – Springburn after 1900)
  • Milngavie – Springburn (becomes Milngavie – Motherwell after 1900)
  • Helensburgh Central – Edinburgh Waverley
  • Motherwell – Dalmuir via Hamilton and Singer
  • Dalmuir – Motherwell via Yoker and Hamilton
  • Motherwell – Dalmuir via Whifflet and Yoker
  • Whifflet – Dalmuir via Yoker
  • Larkhall – Dalmuir via Yoker
  • Dalmuir – Larkhall via Singer
  • Glasgow Queen Street – Cumbernauld
  • Glasgow Queen Street – Anniesland via Maryhill
  • Glasgow Queen Street – Edinburgh Waverley via Falkirk High
  • Glasgow Queen Street – Alloa
  • Edinburgh Waverley – Dunblane
  • Edinburgh Waverley – Glenrothes with Thornton via Dunfermline
  • Edinburgh Waverley – Perth
